Founded in 1966, Delprodukt has built a strong position in precision work, small batch production, and custom, high-spec deliveries to sectors including defence, maritime, aquaculture, oil and gas, renewable energy, and land-based industry and technology.<\/p>\n

We spoke with CEO Stig Murvold and Head of Production Arnt Erik Reinsbakk about the company\u2019s journey \u2013 and what lies ahead.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

When Stig Murvold stepped into the CEO role in 2020, Delprodukt had already set a clear goal: to build closer, long-term relationships with a smaller number of key customers through framework agreements and more predictable production schedules.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

A turning point in 2019<\/strong>
In 2019, the company was facing challenges. Financial results were negative, and the organisation was fragmented. That\u2019s when BEWI Invest \u2013 led by Svenn Bekken \u2013 joined as a key owner.<\/p>\n

\u201cSvenn has a very clear philosophy around developing industrial companies,\u201d says CEO Stig Murvold. \u201cHe focuses on bringing out the best in people and production environments \u2013 and on making things happen. That gave us both confidence and pressure: we knew change was necessary.\u201d<\/p>\n

A new direction<\/strong>
When Murvold took over as CEO in 2020, the challenges remained. Three units were merged into one, and the company went through a difficult downsizing process.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was tough, but necessary. We had to come together \u2013 physically and mentally \u2013 and build a shared platform.\u201d<\/p>\n

Automation and better production control quickly became key priorities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe came from a manual production logic. Now we began thinking in terms of standardisation, investments in machinery, and digital planning. That caused friction \u2013 but also momentum.\u201d<\/p>\n

From many small orders to fewer, larger customers<\/strong>
Today, Delprodukt is guided by a strategy called ‘Bigger, Stronger, Longer.’ The aim is to build closer relationships with fewer, larger customers through framework agreements and long-term commitments. Key customers now include Framo, Brunvoll, MacGregor, Fugro, Nammo, and IK Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re working systematically to establish agreements that give us both stability and direction. That makes it easier to invest in new machinery and develop the organisation,\u201d Murvold explains.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve rebuilt the team from the ground up.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Arnt Erik Reinsbakk, Head of Production at the Hofstad facility, has played a central role in the internal transformation. At the BEWI conference on Fr\u00f8ya in June, he presented the company and its services to leaders from across BEWI Invest\u2019s portfolio.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\u201cThere\u2019s been no quick fix. We\u2019ve had to build a new culture \u2013 step by step, person by person.\u201d<\/p>\n

He reflects on how the atmosphere has changed on the shop floor.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt used to be loud \u2013 people shouting across the workshop. Today it\u2019s about mutual respect, open dialogue, and shared responsibility. People are taking ownership \u2013 and it shows in the results.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cross-company recognition<\/strong>
At the BEWI conference, Reinsbakk\u2019s presentation of Delprodukt drew strong interest from peers across the portfolio.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The event brought together around 30 leaders from BEWI Invest\u2019s portfolio companies \u2013 with the goal of sharing insight, challenging each other, and uncovering new collaboration opportunities. With the backing of the BEWI family and a team that understands the needs and expectations of its customers, Delprodukt is poised for further growth. The company\u2019s 80 employees across Melhus and Aver\u00f8y are not just producing parts \u2013 they are building long-term industrial value.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Delprodukt currently has an annual turnover of more than NOK 120 million. By 2030, the company plans to invest NOK 25\u201330 million in machinery, automation, and robotics to boost efficiency.<\/p>\n
